Chou Kan Yin - Founder and Managing Director
Chou Kan Yin is the Founder and Managing Director of The Project Management Shop (M) Sdn Bhd. He has over 20 years experience in the construction industry both locally and regionally. Prior to founding our company, he has held various positions as Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, and Site Engineer. He has project experience in over 20 construction projects in high rise building, hotels, hospitals, and housing development projects. Among his notable projects involved are the 34-storey Bank Bumiputra headquarters KL, 21-storey Bank Rakyat headquarters KL, 34-storey Pacific Bank headquarters KL, 41-storey Bistari Condominium KL, 210 room Holiday Inn Shah Alam, 300 room Puteri Pan Pacific Hotel JB, Jitra District Hospital, Ampang Puteri Specialilst Hospital, Damansara Specialist Hospital PJ, 234 units of double storey housing project in Huddersfield, England, and many others.
Mr. Chou holds a 2nd Class Division 1 Honours BSc (Hons) in Building from Leeds Polytechnic, Leeds, England. He is also a Member of the Royal Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), and is a multi-lingual person able to converse in English, Mandarin Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, Hakka and Hokkien. He enjoys golf, swimming and teaching, and is a member of the KGNS golf club and the Royal Selangor Club.
